Project Details

The Scruggs Company successfully finished the grading and asphalt paving work for the New Orgill Facility in Tifton, Georgia. This large-scale project encompassed an 87-acre construction site and involved various operations under the supervision of our capable construction team.

The scope of the project comprised moving a significant amount of dirt, specifically 206,404 cubic yards. Additionally, our team graded a spacious 798,000 square feet area to create a sturdy building pad. To ensure a solid foundation, we mixed 192,631 square yards of soil cement base.

Proper drainage was a crucial aspect of the project, and our team installed 5,228 linear feet of storm drain along with 35 drainage structures. We also constructed 575 square yards of concrete sidewalk for the convenience of employees and visitors. Moreover, 13,402 linear feet of curb and gutter were built to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the facility.

Lastly, we paved the area with 15,232 tons of asphalt, creating a brand-new parking lot that can accommodate both employees and visitors. The Scruggs Company’s dedication to quality and attention to detail ensured the successful completion of this project.
